    GOODGREEF

    GLOBAL SOUNDTRACK

    MAIN ARENA

    WITH DJS

    ALY & FILA
(voted no31 dj mag top 100/egypt)

Aly Amr Fathalah (Aly) and Fadi Wassef Naguib (Fila), the Egyptian duo, were both born in 1981 and have known each other since kindergarten. After falling in love with the music of Paul Van Dyk, Steve Helstrip and Chicane they built their first small studio and started doing electronic music and djing from 1999. After establishing themselves in Egypt they decided to go international. In 2002, they signed with the German record label, Euphonic Records. Their first release, "Eye of Horus" received huge airplay from the likes of Paul Van Dyk, Armin Van Buuren, DJ Tiësto, and many others. The track was licensed to Fundamental Recordings in Holland and reached number 4 position in the Dutch Dance charts.

After finishing their contract with Euphonic Records, Fila met with Andy Prinz and they decided to launch their first sublabel of Offshore. Upcoming Egyptian releases would follow. Their first release through Offshore Music Switzerland / AP Pro Audio "Spirit of Ka" made it on numerous playlists.

They have played alongside Armin Van Buuren in A State of Trance episode 300 and A State of Trance episode 350. They have been voted on DJ Mag. as one of the top 100 DJs in the world twice. Ended the year 2007 as number 111 as they finally break through the top 100 djs in 2008 reaching the 31st postion on the list.

    MENNO DE JONG

Menno de Jong is a dj and producer from the Netherlands. His production & remix career has seen him record for some of Europe’s biggest trance labels and he’s the owner of lauded Dutch independent Intuition Recordings. A Podcast pioneer, he’s produced and presented the much respected and widely-syndicated Intuition Radio show for the last 3 years. As a DJ he’s closed gigs for Tiësto & Paul van Dyk, is currently ranked at No. 48 in DJ Magazine’s Top 100 Chart and has spun in over 25 countries.

Born into a musical family, it took very little time for Menno to start experimenting with the array of synths corralled in his father’s studio. His production career started in auspicious fashion in 2004 when ‘Guanxi’, his debut production was signed to Anjunabeats. As with studio production Menno also dabbled in DJing from an early age. At 17 he progressed from school discos & friends parties to a two year residency at an underground club in Eindhoven. Further charged by the reception ‘Guanxi’ received from DJs and still aged just 20 years old he threw himself into music nearly full-time, juggling his busy schedule with his studies at university. Double-header ‘Magma’/‘Momentum’ and ‘Sjamaan’ were released on Fundamental (in 2005 & 2007 respectively), while ‘Tundra’ (2005) and ‘Nolthando’/ ‘Solid State’ (2007) appeared on his own Intuition label. Remix-wise, he has re-scripted tracks for The Thrillseekers, Karen Overton & Mark Otten, amongst others and to ever-increasing acclaim.

Having now spun in over 25 countries, Menno has played at clubs and events such as Godskitchen, Gatecrasher, Creamfields, Trance Energy, Sensation White, Mysteryland, Amnesia in Ibiza, Love Parade in Berlin, The Gaudi Arena in Moscow & WMC in Miami. Alongside that he has DJed with the likes of Tiësto, Armin van Buuren, The Prodigy, Paul van Dyk, Marco V and Markus Schulz.

Following an inspiring tour of Africa, Menno broke into the compilation market in mid-2007. Mixing the first in a projected series of country-themed albums, Intuition Sessions Vol. 1: South Africa gathered together the cream of the label’s highly recognizable crop.

    MARKUS SCHOSSOW

He became a well known DJ and producer by the release of the Tiesto Album In Search of Sunrise 6, in which his track Chase My Rabbit was featured.

For the international trance music industry he became interesting after Armin van Buuren presented his track Mr. White in his weekly radioshow A State Of Trance. The track Mr. White quickly became one of the most played tracks in 2007. Furthermore Marcus Schossow has collaborated with another Swedish producer Thomas Sagstad to create "Moog Me", another progressive trance hit. Other collaborations include "Schossow & Brandlt - Horny" which is a remix of "Mouse T - Horny" and "Marcus Schossow & Thomas Sagstad - Crepuscolo".

Marcus Schossow has a weekly radio show called Tone Diary, which he presents on the internet radio station "AH.FM".

In 2009 Marcus became the first Swedish DJ to win the title of Most Popular Nordic DJ of 2008 from Megamin's annual poll since 2004's winner Airbase. He is the biggest climber in the poll's history as well as the only Swedish DJ in the top 5 with 628 votes since in 2007 he only received 5 votes.

    ACTIVA

Although he is primarily known as a producer, Rob has been DJing since his first experience with a pair of turntables while at school. He has gone on to play at the biggest nights in the UK including Gatecrasher and Passion and regularly travels the UK and often abroad to perform. He is a bi-monthly resident at easily the best and fastest growing night in the UK, Digital Society, where his late sets have become a popular part of the night showcasing the harder side of his style.

If that wasn’t enough, Rob also owns and runs Conspiracy Recordings along with Jon O’Bir and Kev Ribbens. The label, which has grown rapidly in the first few years, has had massive support from the biggest names in the industry including regular appearances on Armin’s ASOT, Above & Beyond’s TATW, VONYC Sessions, Sound garden as well as Radio 1 and various other FM radio support. The label has developed a reputation of showcasing brand new music from new artists, has helped kick start the careers of Tom Colontonio, Anguilla Project and Peter Martijn Wijnea, as well as releasing tracks from more well known artists like Ian Betts, Dan Stone and Peter Dafnous.
