Default [Dirty Bass Grooves DBG004] - Jay Pace + Le Solitaire - White Dunes with Red Flowers

The 4th DBGrooves is here, and we are happy to present a blend of melodic, soulful electronics and deep dub tech. Supplying 3 of the tracks on this EP is the very talented Jay Pace, one of the key organizers of Brighton's Black Box Techno club night, Jay has become well known for his melodic tech funk beats and has some nice respectable releases under his belt. The 3 tracks we have from him on this ep show a slightly different side to his normal sound. We have 3 solid melodic grooves, all of which have a hint of motor city soul that should allow them to crossover from house to techno and back again. The sound he presents has a classic timeless quality harking back to the formative years of dance music without sounding overly retro. The 2nd artist on this release is Le Solitaire who we had to get back after his last release with DBG generated such great feedback. This time Jacque presented us with some deep, pensive minimal dubs that infected us immediately with their strong grooves and massive bass lines. Funky warm house stabs, sparkling effects, strong riffs, killer subs, and ass shaking beats, we couldn't ask for more from this crazy Frenchman.

Loving "Dog Storm"!! But to be honest they're all spot on.

Cheers guys, had a lot of fun making this. Good to be pushed outside the comfort zone a bit, try something a little different.
