Default Viruses, viruses and more ****ing viruses...

Being a good boy, I have a production computer thats not connected to the internet. Which is a pain in the arse, but I thought it was worth it because it minimised the risk of getting viruses.

Recently found a virus on an internet laptop, after updating the virus db I found one on an USB key.

My production computer is ****ing full of the things. I've never connected it to the internet once, or installed a dirty piece of software. ****ing plague ridden USB keys seem to be the culprit.

So argh. I haven't had a non-internet virus since the days of no internet and virus carrying floppy disks. Thought we'd moved on from that....

Moral of the story seems to be - keep your computer connected to the net, just so you can keep good virus protection up to date.

Good advice that. You could also download the definition updates on one machine and then transfer them manually via USB etc.....more hassle tho
