You know I had a think about this. To be honest, it's not such a bad idea for what he is into. I mean, the minimal movement isn't an underground one. It's not like the minimal fans will be put out by this commercial move. And to be honest, there's loads of Techno heads out there with T-shirts and all that. This is just the next step up from that.
The more I think about it, fair play to him if he does do it. He'll make a killing and lets face it, making money these days in this business (or ever for that matter) can only be a good thing?
I'm not a massive fan of his music, I never really was- but I have to say, I kind of respect what he has done. Where he came from until now is commendable. Some of the Plastikman stuff was ok too.
If any of the people that I'm into started doing this, you know what I'm not ashamed to say it- Id probably make a purchase. What harm. I doubt id be buying the Hawtin range (I doubt he'd make a large- I'm pretty robust).
So you know, you might not agree with it, but sod it- it is a shrewd business move.
