    Default Gangsta-Tech

Now I've been hearing a lot more of this stuff on my travels. I have to say I quite like a bit of it. What gets me is it's aggressiveness. Its like schranz without the schranz if you follow? It has a nice irreverent edge, a kind of f*ck you I'm Techno and I'm "all up in your biznis".

What I don't like about it is that it seems to sample a good amount of this new kind of polished (for lack of a better discription), Bling-Rap. I.E- 50 cent and so on.
The reason I personally don't like that aspect (apart from all that bling bollocks) is that this brand of Techno seems to be sold on the image of the producer before you delve into the music.

Now don't get me wrong, image is a big part of all the music industry and thats fine. But is this Gangsta-Tech going to go the same way? Will it be all platinum chains and 9mm's? Will beef start rearing it's ugly but entertaining head?

I'm all for Gangsta-Tech, it's fun. Whats the cost?

Thats what I thought at first. "oh great here we go". But there are some pounders out there that sit under this tag. The 50 cent slices are a little silly to me.

The only gangsta-tech artist I know is Matt K.
And personnally, I like this kind of stuff.

The "gangster" image is getting more and more obvious in the electronic music (IE : Eskimo (Psy-Trance artist)). I don't know if it's for attracting people for an another sub-culture or whatever but in my opinion, we shall be able to produce/spin/listen whatever we want without being categorized as one type of person.

what, without being categorized as ignorant gun loving pricks you mean ?
funny, I though that's what gangsters were all about.
that and they like to have group sex with each other
just so they can look at each others cocks
because secretly all gangsters are gay.

    Fcuk Matt K.

Gunjack wrote all the dope tracks from those two.
Matt K just cut the shit vocal samples that were used.
As much artistic integrity as Gunny's production has, it was a phase.
Matt K for the record is not hardbody or gangster, I say this from meeting him in person
He's a sucker from the suburbs of ATL who has all those guns from Daddy's gun selling business. PERIOD.

Guns are meant to protect not to flash because some punk ass doesn't know how to man up and use his fists.

I dont mind some of the stuff he's done.

However, i had to delete him from my myspace when my bulletins were always full of 9mm clothing spam.!
