    Default Root Kit ao9u02hp.sys

So I've located this little f*cker embeded somewhere on my PC- "ao9u02hp.sys".
AVG is too much of a pussy to remove it, MalwareBytes doesn't even detect it... The only other suggestion has been to format my HD.

Before I do that, does anyone have any other Ideas?

    Thanks lads.

    Default

took me ages to find this little beast. By the time I checked it today it'd changed its name. So I booted in safe mode, scanned the command lin c:/windows/system32/drivers and hey presto. little wanker is gone.
