Default Dirty Bass & Ahkoo - One Bad Girl EP - Dirty Bass Grooves 005

    Promo Blurb

For the latest Dirty Bass Grooves we are proud to present the wonderful musical output of Ahkoo. We first saw Ahkoo playing a live PA at the Club T.E.D night in Brighton england, and were blown away, literally, by her audio output. Diverse influences blasted out of the speakers, all with a slightly psychedelic edge, sharp production and incredible detail in the sounds. The crowd were soon whipped up into a sweaty frenzy and we knew we had to release some music from Ahkoo. The tracks we have here are a good representation of her diverse sounds, all fitting loosely into house music, as a whole. From the sexy big room house chugg of Set Ya Free!, to the Dream-Like melodies of Dazed Driving, this is dance music harking to the days of epic productions from the likes of Underworld and Fluke.
Dirty Bass makes a welcome return to DBG with 2 funked out, bass heavy, minimal masterpieces that inject some much needed attitude and energy into the minimal techno genre. There are some serious gut wrenching basslines and wonky synths in these tunes that should liven up any Minimal dancefloor. Expect Destruction!!

I have to say, this is a wicked EP to wake up to.

Every single track on this EP is wonderful. Weird and wonderful through- and damn funky. Props Steve.

    Cheers sport.
Trying to keep this label in the house arena, but as interesting as possible.

It honestly doesn't feel housey at all. It kind of gets me in my Dub techno spot if you get me. Great release.
