Ezinger is just normal techno techno really innit, birmingham style.. Nice, but dated, lots of old used sounds, and nothing new.
huh? Really? I find his stuff incredible- granted there is a lot that you could only call techno- but I think the slower more spacious stuff would fall under the minimal brolly. The swing patterns, wicked glitchy little rhythms etc...?

maybe my definition of minimal is waaaaaay off!

    How about Alex Bau's work?

I don`t think it`s bad, but it isn`t really minimal. It doesn`t really follow the ethic. The sounds are a little overcrowded and conventional, and the sounds seem over maximised.

Yeah I think Bau seems to understand the ethic a bit more.
He does seem like someone who is trying to make minimal but still trying to use an old format to do it.

Yeah, but there is cheesy obvious melody, and then there is this.
Dundov is great, always has had a very great use of melody.
However, you couldn`t really call that dundov tune minimal.
The constant 16 step bassline and 16 step arpeggios aren`t in the minimal ethic.
To do that he would have to reduce those melodies down to their essence, strip down the interim notes of those scales, simplify the bassline.
I`m not sure it would work.

I'm a big fan of Dapayk:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MYdrJzyyrEA

Weird, dark, chunky, fat basslines... Nice!

His stuff with padberg is so so, but that's probably just me not appreciating vocals. Check out his labels:

I definitely prefer the sound on the Mo's Ferry prod tracks, and if you look thru the "Releases" section there's clips of a lot of the tracks they've put out, and also some bonus tracks for download.

You reckon? Hmmm... then I am way off. So really, what I'm into at the moment isn't minimal- just slow dark techno type stuff.

How about Robert Babicz? I have been listening to his stuff all day. Can't get enough of it actually.

yeah, sleeparchive has some class tunes

btw Martin Gore (Depeche Mode) has a pretty good taste choosing tunes to be played before the bend comes on stage...not all of it is minimal tho, i might have posted this in Techno forum, but then schranz fans could gang banged me... :P

The law is not the private property of lawyers, nor is justice the exclusive province of judges and juries. In the final analysis, true justice is not a matter of courts and law books, but of a commitment in each of us to liberty and mutual respect. - Jimmy Carter
