anyone know where to get sample sets of an1x and other analog-modeling keyboards (virus, nord lead 2, z1 etc...oh-so-important to that mid-90s sound)? in a best-case scenario, refill files would be best, but samples are fine too.
thx!

i have both the virus and the an1x
for me www.access-music.de
and just do a search on google for an1x 'patches'
cheers! what i'm looking for specifically are samples of the preset sounds for the an1x so i can load them up in reason...there's a great microwave refill available at www.propellerheads.se and one for the an1x would be ideal for me.

hmmm.. that one called 'analog synths' is good. and there is an access virus one too.
is the an1x any good then? ive got one sitting over there that ive never used...

some of the preset sounds are fantastic, some are average. it was one of the first analog modeling synths, so sound creation and manipulation is a lot more basic than with the virus or nord modular. but you can still do a lot with it.

We had a CS-1x once, I missed it when it left again but I have a strong feeling it'd sound crap these days, the AN-1x came out after it tho?
i think they came out at the same time. or nearly so. if i remember correctly, the cs1x was envisioned as more of a controller, and the an1x as a synth. where i think it shows its age is more in the lack of versatility that later synths have.
