Another day, Another Ableton query...

Ok, Just playing with an APC40 and it seems to have ballsed up the way you can zoom into a waveform in clip view with my mouse.. Also its done some weird things to the warping, I cant get anything to play in time with the metronome.

As you can tell this isnt ideal!! Anyone else had this problem?

I've tried reinstalling but it didnt help, Also this problem has only emerged since mapping the APC40 :/

I'm talking about this, you see you can usually play the clip on the bottom half of the wave then zoom in and out on the top half.. All i can do now is add markers randomly and select stuff.

Nightmare.

Ok, after half a day of playing I've found the following.. The warp feature in Live 8 is completly different!

In ableton 8 you move the audio to the markers. :)

Yeah i've seen it I really cant get the hang of it though, i seem to have to warp and mess around with audio that i would never have had to before..

Ie, digital tracks that i know dont fluctuate in bpm.. its really aggrevating

Have you got to the bit about holding 'shift' or something, it's a trick that's not in the manual.

I don't know why they changed it, it reminds me of the Cubase timestretch thing now. :(

Yeah, Ableton 8 is a pain in the titties. I can't warp in it either.
