hey yes, that got a big reaction from ppl when i went out onto the dancefloor after my set. actually the first thing some bloke said when i went into the vip room was 'no-one really liked your set, but we love you anyway!' how subtle?!?!!?!! .... i wanted to hit him!!!! hehehe... it got me well paranoid cause i knew how much of a big thing it was in my mind for me to play techno at the da. but then the next person said they loved it! out on the dancefloor, one person said it was the worst set they'd ever heard me play and another said it was the best. and i started to think - I LIKE THIS - A TRUE RESPONSE!!!!! it continued like that for the whole rest of the night!

people either love or hate techno and I should have realised this when i first ventured out of the DJ box. even though i'd never tell a dj that their set was shit as soon as they come off (i'd wait and be a bit more subtle i think!!!!!), i can see that some ppl can't understand it. the euphoric feeling isn't the same as trance. so many would have thought it's a 'bad' set.

the funniest comment i got was 'i know you're going off trance these days but i'm not too keen on your new style'. ???????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i've been playing techno since 83! hahaha... i've always played both since 1992. it's funny how ppl hear you once and jump to an opinion about you. i love trance - i'll never go off it!!!!

anyway spot on you guys for the nice comments. i won't be playing techno all the time at the da, but i do think it made for a nice change...
