to put it technically:

- lose the background picture.
- too many bg. images
- long pages should be broken up, should be no need to scroll.
- lens flares aren't cool! they just hurt your eyes!

with this apparently your only supposed to have like a maximum of 200 words of block text, cos otherwise people just wont read it and its alot easier on the eye..
