Default Free Midi files of Riffs....

Taking the Idea from Alf Bamford (www.alf-bamford.tk) here are 50 midi files of well known (and not so known) tunes from Trance to Hardcore to learn about riffs and riff structure.

Not all the riffs are note on perfect but they are there to learn from :)

These were lovingly crafted and copied by Myself. Tunes such as "Pearl River", "Out Of The Blue", "After Love", "Digital Pressure - Unreal", "Pure Thrust" and many more are all included.

    Download from: http://www.student.brad.ac.uk/lpourhas/Loukmidis.zip

    Hope you all enjoy!

    Any feedback would be appreciated.

    Cheers

very compassionate of you mate ;) but not sure how i feel about this ... suppose it depends on weather people are honest enough to just learn from the riffs or if there just gonna mooch a few changes and bang! there a top class riff composer.... umm .... im in no way having a go just think its got to be said, these days its ****ing hard to come up with something that hasnt been done... after all theres only 12 notes in an octave (quite an inspiring thought if you think how much music`s been created!) but then i suppose righting a fat riff is a small part of the equation too , you`ve got to produce the riff and its the sound thats as important as the melodie.... anyway food for thought...

    great point chris.
i never thought of it in that way before
but i see it this way,
when a guy or gal in new to producing they can sit in front of sequencers all day and have ideas but they just dont know how they look in midi.,

these give a great examplain of how working melodies work.

huge previous uplifters like binary, gouryella and out of the blue,

looking at the shapes of the midid and how certain rythems and riffs are a made can help people in compostion without ripping it off.

    anyways,
great point but thats my two pences worth
    ;)
