for composition - cubase cause the midi is superb.
for mixing it has to be pro tools cause its just pro. routing, rtas plugins, audio editing etc.
i admit the engine could be a bit more optimised but with audio editing like that i can forgive a few minor grumbles.
also McDSP plugins.. nuff said.
Has to be Ableton really.
It has such versatility and depth now, all rolled up with a fast flow work ethic and some lovely tricks.
I make all sorts with it. Dubstep, Darkstep, Techno, House, Drum and Bass, soundtrack stuff.
Wavelab for mastering.
And tape of course.
I am not here but my ghost still lingers
I use Ableton.
When is a DAW not a DAW?
when its ajar

Ableton for me as well for my work flow nothing even comes close to providing what it does.
ableton live, cause i simply love it.

Ableton, It simply lets me do the things that my head conjures up.
Ableton because, like me, its quite simple :cheese:
Ableton, for all the reasons stated above.
Love love love Ableton!!!! everyone finds their own way to use it :)
Techno. Drum and Bass.
ableton. it's designed for this type of music, and it shows.

ableton can free your mind
FL Studio because it suits my workflow. I also use ableton now and again for certain things but mostly FL. I find i can get things done quickly and easily within FL's environment which is an important factor for me.
Fl is vastly improving all the time..
Am trying to replace cubase with ableton. Its a painful annoying process, but ultimately there seems to be more mileage in ableton for what I want to do.
Cubase for me, have been using it for years now.
I have been using Ableton for things too.
FL studio v9 prod edition.
so simple and intuitive and when running it barely troubles the cpu.
can knock together a few ideas in a matter of minutes.
abletons compressor is great for righting music
