    Default setting up midi in reason

    Excuse me for being a bit thick but how the hell do you set up midi in reason.
    I've selected midi from the edit menu but theres still nowt happening.

    Edit -> Preferences -> midi - this allows you to use the keyboard to play stuff into the synths, samplers, drum machine etc etc.

    Edit -> Preferences -> advanced midi - this allowes you to assign midi controllers to custom controls (eg, the cutoff frequency etc).

    Once done this, you have to enable Midi Remote Mapping in the Options menu, and select which instrument you want to send midi signals to by clicking to the left of its name in the sequencer (for midi only, advanced midi works whichever instrument is selected).

    Also make sure you have the 'midi' box lit up on the bottom toolbar (to the left of the tempo/play etc).

    Should do the trick!
