Dirty Demons unleash their newest track, Kink, on Xtraxx Records. Its a full-on hard trance behemoth with echos of the industrial and hardstyle about it. Oh, and acid.

Original Mix

The original mix is three genres in one; hardstyle with a bit of hard trance interspersed with a generous helping of industrial goodness. It shouldn't surprise you that, as a Nutty T production, with Candyman01 forming the second half of Dirty Demons, there is the customary acid bellow; a scary acid shriek that conjures up an image from every horror movie you've ever seen. I made the mistake of listening to this tune on my iPod while in bed. It is genuinely very scary but the main body of the track isn't. It uses a rather rude sample of a horny lady. Sounds saucy. That's where the sauciness ends as the very essence of the track is primarily industrial-strength trancestyle. That acid shriek is scary though. Eek!

Mic-E's HardReverse Rework

On the flip, Mic-E toughens things up with an adventurous Hardreverse remix. While still maintaining the hard trance approach, there's a sense of hardstyle coming into things as well as a back to front structure. As a result, while the remix offers a nice alternative to the Original, I'm divided on it. However, its structure and upbeat reversed layout does certainly offer a tough-layered alternative. For me though, its the original mix that wins the day.
