Every guy i know from Skem bums Lee Butler. Thats all you hear. And the shitty club near you the '051' What the hell is going on??

Speaking of which, is there any decent Undergroung Hard Trance clubs in Liverpool???
If there is mate, tell us the directions and up-coming nights what are on.

As far I know i'm the only person in liverpool who promotes any hardtrance/teckno events. I've been tryin to get a venue for bloody months since the last one, its like telling venue managers that i'd be bringing the devil himself to the club if I mention the word hardcore! an the venue we used last time had a dress code which people moaned about.

I'll keep you posted if I hear anything or keep an eye on our events site incase we sort a venue - www.futureshock-online.co.uk

Nice one mate, like i say hopefully something will come up and SOON!!!!!!!

Very good point, he certainly could do that!! Surely he must be thinking about it!!
This way he can stick to his somewhat commercial uplifting sound under 'Arome'. But then he could use another alias to bring out his Hard-Bangin' side!!
And let's say when he produces Hard, it's always his best work, without doubt. His sheer class shines out simply because he is creating his TRUE sound, the sound he really likes!!

there is 3 promotors that i know of in liverpool that cater for hard trance.
Horizon, (hardcore techno & hard trance)
    Future Shock, (hardcore, hard trance)
Movement, (hard trance, uplifting, hard house)
Sorry Karl I didnt realise that Horrizon did hardtrance, havent been to one yet. Is there a website for Movement or anything I've never heard of them before would I know the people who run it?

I think the name Scot project has been pigeon holed by the uk clubbers and no doubt overdose!!

So i think it will be a differnt guise if he is gonna do it, purely cause scot project shifts healthy units.

I thought that Globel Cee - Burnin - Karen cold, sounded like him???

I dont know but it was similar.

I played out second trip and it reminded me of how good scot project can be.

    Default thank god

Yes thats right fellow dj's the pier is a load of commercial shite that i will admit in my very very younger days i did delve into. I understand that concepts of these cds very well cause i used to make them my self for this record shop in question. I has have had verbal and physical threats from associated djs around the shop because of the jealousy of my small period of success. This is the degrading way of wigan. The town is corrupt in more ways than one.
The music is being control and dictated by these two record shop owners who i wont mention for safety reasons. They decide what comes into the shop and what goes on the cds. So in effect the music of the north west is controled by these two planks. I have had so many bad expierences with these people that i fear not to mention them. Craig Ryan made it perfectly clear that they did not put the awsome "fat as fcuk" track on there collection of cds so we are all safe in the knowledge that its NOT being ruined by wrong genre association. I dont like record shops, dj's, and genres that cant describe themselves. They shouldnt stock hard trance because the quality of the music is too much for them to handel.

Dont worry about these guys because with my links with these people being so strong i can check what is being sold and what is being recorded to cd. I will do my absolute most to keep your sounds with you and nobody else.
    It describes its self:
    Hard trance is HARD
Bouncy house wouldnt bounce if it wasnt SOFT

    Keep it together
    Keep the sound strong.

Well put mate. It was ashame your success was ruined because your track-listing and Mixing is far better than the 'jealous' Pier DJ's.
Soon or later we will better them.
Speaking of which, their young apprentice/friend, Mr Lowe has invited me round his house for a party.
Basically, I'm just going to show him up on the Decks!!!!

Speak to you soon mate, keep the quality 'posts' coming!!

I read an article in DJmag recently about scouse house and the 051 club etc. DJ made out they were 'going undercover' to infiltrate this 'underground' scene. Now I don't know much about trance generally, but from your posts here and the article itself, I could tell it was commercial mainstream b0ll0x and that it would even be accessible to my mum if she chose to go. Lee Butler was interviewed. So were some of the scallies that are into it. Anyone else read it ?
So the question is, what do you guys think of them trying to justify what they are doing and trying to gain credibility by trying to connect themselves to the underground ?

Where they talking about the underground scene in liverpool or all the UK.

How the hell can they make a mainstram trance/house track with some slags voice slapped over the top underground?
I bet they are just tryin to label themselves "underground" in order to sound credible, an the mainstream clubbing population are so clueless they'd believe whatever they said anyway.

according to my local nightclub djs . STORM TRANCE produce the hardest music in the history of mankind!!!!
i mean no disrespect to storm records but on the scale of things its not that hard, is it??????
i once went round to one of the local djs gaff ( despite our differing tastes in music- hes a right laugh!) ii took my record bag with me, like you do and proceeded to mix records together on this technics 1210 turntables, with the aid of his pioneer DJM mixer....
.........anyway, i proceeded to play scalldruck "turntable junky" to which his reply was : "wow that tune is as hard as ****! what is it??"
to which my reply was: " oh you can have this one if you like mate, i find the term "turntable junky" a little too ironic for my taste."
    big mistake!
i not exactly sure how to phrase the moral of this story, but it has something to do with being a wee bit secretive

.........its not that, its just they are so nieve! they don't look any further than HMV for their records, yet they mysteriously know it all!!!!!!
don't get me wrong please, i'm not trying to imply that i know it all, but i try to :D . .. . they make the minnimum amount of effort possible....... i know a dj who plays out very regularily and during a conversation with me he told me that he hadn't brought any new records for around 6 months...

    exactly!!!

Everyone plays the same records by me, I mean whats the point in Djin if your just gonna wait to find out what has been announced "hot" to buy & play it?
Djs do little enough as it is, at the very least they should be searching out new & original tunes.

But the strange thing is, the better a dj is goes on who plays the most "anthems"! :?:
