First hard trance track was?

I was thinking what was first hard trance tune...any ideas?



"The Hard Trance sound varies from classic trance with its emphasis on harder, often acid sounds. The beat is very strong, and the lead synths or pads are simpler, but still retain their melodic, "trance-like" nature. The "hoover" sound, so named, due to its "vacuum-like" drone, made famous by Human Resource in the early techno classic "Dominator," is used infrequently as of late, giving way to harsher lead melodies through synths or pads. So difficult to say but if we were to look at it been the first "Hard Trance" tune i would say to name one of them Jones & Stephenson - the first rebirth was well ahead of its time a true pioneer to hard trance music for 1993.

The First Rebirth does spring to mind when I think of hardtrance, Datura tracks, El Sueno & 7th Hallucination live remixes are pretty early also, 93/4ish. Maybe some of the EYE Q/ R&S material, Jam & Spoon or Sven Vath tracks. Its a tough one, different interpretations of hard in the early days, or even which is 'trance' enough to fall into that classification.

Sven Vath and specifically his producer Ralf Hildenbeutel on the Harthouse label were the early pioneers of the hard trance sound. Artists such as Resistance D and Arpeggiators pushing up the BPMs of trance to 150+
