Oddly, it is normally one of the tracks which non-Techno heads quote at you as being a "classic". It's happened a few times at house parties etc when I've been chatting to someone and I say I listen to Techno. If they know anything about it at all, they always seem to mention Dave Clarke, Plastikman, maybe Green Velvet and tracks like "One night in NYC." I dunno if these are the types of thing which NME etc might mention from time to time, and hence folks know them. One night in NYC seems to be fairly known among non-Techno fans, but you hardly ever hear of Techno fans talking about it (if anything, they prefer One night in Hackney!)
You have a very narrow vision of techno mate.
Green Velvet, Dave Clarke, Plastikman are not Techno?
I mention that song because it is a popular classic.
I really enjoyed the horrorist LP. Knew it was more of a pop end of techno but good nonetheless.
Will sell it for 500 squids easy for you.

Uhh, of course Dave Clarke etc are Techno. I used them as examples of more commonly known Techno artists so it stands to reason that I am labelling them as Techno, ha ha!
As far as The Horrorist goes, I find him hit and miss, but he has done some great tracks. Have you listened to "Flesh is the Fever" yet? What did you think?
