    Default Barca v Arsenal

1-0 down at half time, what a shame, conceding a goal right at the end of the half, stupid mistake by Fabregas on his Nou Camp debut... Barca should have had Abidal sent off though, huge slice of luck for them there...

It'd certainly take the gloss off the rest of the season if we go out now to these arrogant cunts. Shame Walcott's not fit and Szczesny got injured.

Have some of that! 1-1, they need a goal just to avoid elimination now...

Abidal got away with a blatant throttle, but now van Persie's been sent off for two soft yellows, terrible...

Looks like Barca are going to absolutely scum their way to the next round.

We should have 11 men and they should have 10.

The Arsenal players need to get some Barca players sent off, assuming Barca didn't replace the ref with a Barca official of course.

I really hope this scummy, arrogant team don't win it.

It's hard to imagine how the refs performance could have been much worse, got to be a contender for one of the worst reffing performances in CL history.

great first goal from messi after the fabregas back heel interception mistake, I think only pele scored pimped goals like that. great goal.

Arsenal lost the game after Dani Alves broke the first keeper.
Van Persie has been off form for a long time, the pressure and frustration got to him, them. He deserved to see red.

I thought they would, barca goes through.

shame they ask too much of fabregas and van persie.

both should have been left to recover and faith put in Chamakh and Bendtner.

With Vela on as sub late on as he played well in earlier european games.

    i cant stop the eschaton

good point. Arshavin also playing from the start. Great game from Nasri, star player.

haha,. arsenal should seriously think about changing few midclass player and buy 2 or 3 top quality players. i guess, that is what they're missing to get on the same level as united or chelsea.

they didn't deserve to win, yesterday. fabregas was horrible, same for van persie. bendtner is a complete joke too, what a scoring chance he had 2 mins before final whistle.

if barca would have bit of luck, it would be 6-1.dont think arsenal will win any trophy as they don't have mentality to make the last step what they show every year.

the van persie second yellow was harsh but only the most deluded of fans would believe that this had any baring on the result

arsenal were truly out-classed, it was men against babies

    Agreed.

I wouldn't say they were outclassed but the difference between teams was all too evident.

Arsenal had a chance but chose to protect the lead or rather to play for a 0-0 first half which they deservedly lost. I think the tie was over when Dani Alves broke the first keeper. Messi pimped Almunia for the 1-0 lead and that was that.

Another fact that goes against Arsenal - 90 minutes of football 0 shots on goal. Well they were outclassed, no getting around actually.

Also anytime your captain makes a mistake like the one Fabregas made, your team deserves to loose. I think Arsenal cracked under Catalan pressure and who can fault them?

So Barca players are allowed to grab people by the throat now are they?

If Bendtners chance had fallen to van Persie he would have buried it, or any top striker, just a shame we have one now instead of the 3 of Henry, van Persie and Adebayor.

United will have to beat Barca if they want to win the CL in the next 5 years or more, so think about that.

Look at it this way, in 45 mnutes they were a bit fortunate to get a goal, it took us 9 minutes to respond. They scored and conceded one goal in 56 minutes v 11 men, then scored 2 goals without reply v 10 men, but were still lucky to go through, with the Bendtner chance at the end.

Arsenal went to park the bus like United did when they last won the CL, but for the ref we'd probably have succeeded.

van persie shouldn't have stupidly got himself booked in the first half

arsenal didn't muster one shot on goal the whole game, with eleven or ten men

if united face barca you can bet your bottom dollar that they will put up a greater fight than arsenal did last night
