    i dont think so.

broom & sims turn out a remix, and brooms on his own for the other.

i think they meet somewhere in the middle.

although it is a surprise, its not a bad release, and its nice to see pounding grooves reach out.

I guess it`s not really that surprising as lawrie and sims both have a stake in curved pressings, so they were bound to get together in some way.
But pounding grooves has such a defined sound, and has established itself so well, I`m not sure if sims (and Broom especially) will fit in with this. But I guess I`ll have to wait and see.

I didn't warm to it at all, nevertheless, it would probably sound good on a rig though.

    I thought it sounded ace.
I am really impressed by this one.
Just for the sake of it being the hard boys and the tribal loop boys showing some friggin unity, and it sounds good oh yes it's good.

a superb record, picked up a copy yesterday

the sims and broom remix is a tad better than the broom offering id say, its a pounding track indeed and cant wait to play it out

altho again im left a bit let down with the quality of the vinyl. Mine is a very heavy record and isnt the easiest to cue up

is it just me or do all vinyl pressings that are a different colour tend to be of lesser quality? ive a number of records that are clear, red, pink, green, blue etc etc and they all seem to be significantly lower quality

The tunes are banging, didnt like it at first when I heard it on tuneinn, but listened to it again in the shop loud definitely changed my mind.

I hear picture disc wear off quicker as there is a layer of print on it.... It all has to do with the depth of the pressing, thicker vinyl can accomodate the groove to press deeper..... And the longer it would last.

Colour vinyl doesn`t hold as good a pressing as straight vinyl, because of the pigment that needs to be added.
Or so I have been told anyway.

i thought this may have something to do with it

i dont see the point in coloured vinyl, its a nice idea but if its gonna affect the quality of the tracks on the vinyl then whats the point!

I thought it was quite an average release, and Sims and Broom have certainly done better work in the past.

I don't think it makes any difference. Maybe a picture disc is a different process, but for coloured/clear vinyl it is the same. I think it must be psychological ;)

Apparently the only hassle for cutting plants doing coloured vinyl is that the have to clean out ALL the black pigment from the machines first. Everything else is the same.
