Your lot need to get rid of Gerrard imo. Doesn't seem to perform unless the team is built around him (as his England performances demonstrate) and isn't good enough to build a whole team around.
Looks like Dalglish has realised this too.

Wenger's been talking up the possibility of signing Benzema, it'd be great if this happens, but it could be a case of misdirection, City or Chelsea will probably be in for him now.

It reminds me of when United said they bid for him, 6 months after he joined Real, so seemed like a cheap stunt to appease fans, could be the same thing here.

Him and Hazard are about the only French speaking players I'd want, and we've been linked with them both, I'd be pretty happy if we signed them both, but I won't hold my breath.

Latest rumour I've heard is Nasri to United.

Would be a good signing for the Champions as United desperately need a playmaker.
He started the season as one of the best in the league, but dropped off pretty heavily.

Hes defo on the slide. getting injured much more often and when he does play is nowhere near as influencial. id still much rather have him then not tho.

He's a good player, but sometimes teams need to move on to progress.

Thinking about it, Arsenal have the quality, a few shite players aside, we had the quality to win the league and the CL, but the CC final sums Arsenal up - Birmingham got relegated and we had the quality to see off Barca and win the league etc, but it doesn't matter how good this current team becomes, they'll always manage to throw away good positions once the pressure's on.

So in that respect, we don't really need multiple world class players, we just need some ****ing leadership and professionalism. If we had the mental strength of United, and maybe some of their physical strength we'd be almost unstoppable, like in the days of the Invincibles, only able to do it for more than one season.

Also, we've got several young players who might be what we need, such as Bartley in defence, Frimpong as a holding midfielder (this was supposed to be his season, a la Wilshere, but he missed it through injury), JET up front and Miyaichi on the wing, which is all the positions we need to strengthen... Though we need to bring in some leadership and experience more thaan anything.

Ideally we should be signing both a Tony Adams type AND a Roy Keane type, to be captain and vice captain, plus someone who can do a job when van Persie's not fully fit, that's all we need, though Hazard on top would be nice perhaps.

    eh?
    No you don't.
Arsenal are fcuking miles away from being good enough to win either the League or the European Cup.

The way City, Chelsea and the Scouse are gearing up, Arsenal might struggle to make the top 4 next season.

Another way of looking at it would be that if Barcelona had taken a couple more of their countless chances, the tie would have been over by half time of the first leg..

We are as an overall package perhaps, but it's not the quality that's lacking, we were neck and neck with United near the end with chances to go top until the pressure started to tell.

In the last 6 games only Bolton and West Ham had worse form - and Bolton beat us in those games. We dropped points in games we should have won easily, that's what cost us - our form was terrible yet we still beat United - our only win. If we'd beaten Sunderland, Villa at home, Bolton, Stoke and Fulham away we'd have won the league, and that's just in the last 6 games and only a massive idiot would deny we had the quality to win those games.

And that's just the last 6 games, our lack of mental strength was costing us a lot sooner than that - it was nothing to do with quality, only a muppet couldn't see that. If we had the mental strength of the 01/02 team who won 15 games in a row we'd have won the league easily.

Well done on completely missing my point, I said this team will never win anything as it is - BUT it's not due to a lack of quality.

Plus of course an unfit Fabregas set Barca on their way with a stupid back heel when we were looking as comfortable as you could hope for against Barca at the Nou Camp.

He certainly dropped off badly, one of the biggest disappointments in that regard, there's no way Arsenal would sell him to United though, in a sane world at least...

The Turkish league is, pretty much, the worst league in Europe, so it's an easy life compared to the pressures of the premiership.

Either that, or he just lovvves the cockkk!!

if turkish league is such rubbish why did your national side czech republic one of the favourites of the euro tournament got beaten by the such league's national side?

have some perspective bloodstar, you really are not in the position to talk when the czech league is an oxymoron.
