Go Rangers.
You burned it, you donkey!
supporting the yankees is like supporting exxon mobil in the third world series. seriously. and "us?" shouldn't you be a devil rays fan...or am i missing what borough you're from? god knows they need them too. better than smoking the corporate crackpipe over at the oil well.

actually i have an equal interest liking both the yankees and arsenal.
i lived in both places for a substantial amount of time.
btw they are called rays and i don't like them much either. probably less so than the red sox as i don't have an inferiority complex my little brother.![]()

Baseball is still around? Personally, I find more exciting ways to spend the time between March Madness and football like napping, tea-sipping, and nail clipping (both finger and toe).
America's pastime? You know we've had Internet porn for like two decades, right?

So true. I actually enjoy going to baseball games. It's a fun experience. On television, however, it puts me to sleep faster than golf, and that David Feherty has some dulcet tones!
I watch the series, but that's about it. Besides, there's no such thing as an offseason in football coverage around here. They manage to find a way to talk about it daily, anyway.

Fan who returned ball to New York Yankee' Derek Jeter getting baseball card - MLB News | FOX Sports on MSN
maybe a nice ending to this horrible saga after all?
me and my mate were arguing about this(he is a bosox fan but a nice lad) i reckoned that jeter should pay off this bloke's loans where he taught enough was given to him.
your call.
don't really get why the rays can't fill the seats...they're actually good.
i bet seats are cheap though!

i am not sure how much they are, i think around 17-35 dollars except when you have the yankees and the red sox play which are always sell-outs and the price moves up after that.
the rays are doing pretty good this year despite losing half their team last off-season and still are competing in the east.
but their remaining schedule is tough 37 percent of it is against the yankees and red sox.
st petersburg is a tough place to make it as a business owner. not many people buy anything.
people have strange mentallity. the only businesses that do well here are few restuarants with a decent reputation. that is it.
coupled that with insane prices for food and drink ($8 buds) you have recipe for disaster.
there is a talk of moving them to downtown tampa or getting team removed for good but they currently have a 25 year lease with the city of st petersburg.
will see how this turns out in the long run.
btw just saw a thing on tv about a steakhouse in tampa called bern's. app the 20 oz strip steak is killer. you should try it and report back.

yeah it is a top steakhouse.
they have a huge winecellar, and apparently they use top11% steak in the country.
apparently there was a double magnum wine found behind the racks in Bern's where it fell down to the back and is worth 80000 dollars.
the owner said he is willing to part with the bottle of wine for 50000 if only it is drunk in the restaurant and there is a party of 12.
only setback with the place is that it is quite pricey. there are couple of other good steakhouses but it is too expensive for me to part ways with my cash, especially when i am not totally into it. i prefer exotic cuisine.
there is a steakhouse in Miami I believe it is called Shulas or something and they use 4% of the top steak.
i might try bern's when my family from England come over as it will be a special occasion.
