Must be about half of my Techno records were mastered by Nilz :/

You won't ever see 'Nilz / Exchange' scored into an MP3

Will be something the digital only folk will never understand.

I was going to say that half my vinyl has the same!

Probably more like 30% (Of a good 1200 tunes)

Everyone was using Nilz between 97 - 2003

    Nilz@TheExchange
    Lawrie@Curvepusher
    Porkys Prime Cuts

Were the marks of a properly balanced record. Crisp, clear and loud with a massive low end.

This is sad. I always knew a quality press when I saw Nilz in the run off. :(

I've always wondered whether or not those NILZ markings he made on the inside of the 12" were handmade?

It's engraved into the master plate and then gets stamped into the vynil, before you go thinking the engineer was sat there scoring their name into hundreds if not thousands of records ;)

Wow. Very sad. How old was he? How did he die?
The law is not the private property of lawyers, nor is justice the exclusive province of judges and juries. In the final analysis, true justice is not a matter of courts and law books, but of a commitment in each of us to liberty and mutual respect. - Jimmy Carter
