    Default DB005 Pounding Side

Ok, well, after battling with time constraints, I think I have finished the Hard side for DirtyBass Records 005

It`s quite fast for me, metallic and percussive, and hopefully a little more `avin`it than my dark stuff.

Let me know what you think, and any last minute tips are most welcome.

    Cheers folks.

After the breakdown the levels are lower and the kick fades away (3:09).. then at 4:12 the levels rise again.. Something is weird there....

I like everything up to the breakdown although a few textural sweeping stabs in the background might bridge the short bars and make it not so repetitive.

very good percussion workout, nice production aswell, although i prefer a harder kick this has got some nice bass behind it, as for the levels dropping off i didnt notice it, obviously the bass sound that comes in after the break means through compression everything else gets reduced a little but that's all i can think of, if that made any sense

I just listened through 2 systems.. The dropout is noticable on the system with the ozone.. but not so on the system with the audiophile. .......hmmm

The levels check out fine with my system. And I played it on a rig last night at a party and it sounded fine. Obviously the compression relaxes a little during the breakdown, but this is intentional as you get a little top end rush when you play it on a big rig, and then a huge nasty crush after the break.

But I might add some more dark ambient sweeps and textures to the background, just to add a little more of a random element.

    Cheers for the feedback.

I actually like this track a lot, however it seems like it's missing something all the way until the breakdown - just my opinion.
    Will you release it?

I think this could well be the dark side for DB005, depending on if I can remix the track Jim Fish is doing for me.
