i see wat your saying about the sigs but it gets you noticed and can push peeps on to your website just to see wat its all about so i think in the long run just cos some peeps dont have proadband and stuff its not our problem and should be able to post wat we like

Seriously, I have no problem with people promoting and advertising. And it's not up to me to judge the artistic merits of the sigs (people will decide that for themselves), but I'm just making the point that really big obvious signatures make it a pain in the arse to use this forum when I'm in work. And I'm not the only one who feels that. So if it's possible, and not too much work, it would be great if Mark could give us the option to turn them off. That's reasonable innit ? Ain't bitching ? ;)

some people need to learn to use an imaging program. unless they're deliberately taking up the entire screen with their oversized flashy banners. I guess it's some kind of "flash car" syndrome, posting a great big image to make up for what's lacking elsewhere.

some forum software prevents the sig showing in all but a posters first post in any one thread.

Actually, going back and noticing which avatars/sigs I find annoying, they seem to belong to equally annoying individuals, so there seems to be a correlation there.

I think you'll find that the ones wanting the signtures to be switched off started the negativity mate.
