    Default Bass Heavy Music

anyone checked out this new label from DJ Bam Bam? Some cracking stuff on number 01, bit of a majorly cheezy breakdown on the B2 unfortunately spoilt an otherwise excellent track, I suppose the Hard housers will love that tho which will mean records sold I suppose... other trax are pretty cool tho if you like the Bam Bam thing...

This is soooo techno and frankly those people with their little "techno is only hard-techno and progressive-techno" purist hats on can leave the building now as you have no facking idea, in my opinion. twats.

The stuff on Columns of Knowledge, Jackstar etc. is amazing - but I've not seen any of the Bass Heavy Music stuff in the shops yet. Eagerly awaited!

Plus Victim, 4x4 and Crime are damn fine two :)

    BRING IT ON!

    Hey Mark,

I have to agree on the B2 track but everything else is slammin' and i've been playing a dubplate or it for the last 2 months and i've played it in my my most hardest sets and the crowd go apeshit to it. Bam, Bissmire and myself have just finished BHM 002 which is tough as you like !!!
Bam has also just done what I think is his best remix of the Bandulu track "Crisis" which'll be out soon (cutting it tomorrow).
I still think Bam Bam is the best Techno producer around and when you look at his production skills and all round style no-one come close. He can play it hard but yet keeping that Chicago flava where as most people seem to get lost of worn out Deeon / Funk samples.

It's amazing how he can get stuff to sound so raw, but really well produced at the same time, i.e. really distorted sounding, but really bassy and tight, with total clarity...

 my thoughts exactly. I've played a full chicago style set at a party with a good representation of stuff from DJ Bam Bam and whilst many of my friends expect london techno I ended up playing for 2 hours rather than 1 - so I guess the proof is in the punters. I love the relentless bass and old skool twists.

seen Bam Bam a few weeks back & he didnt do it for me. cheesy ott scratchin & as for all that 'Youve been listening to Dj Bam bam...' bullshit...

each to their own, but to say he is the best producer is obsurd. imo

and he played staright jackin for an hour then went acid cheese...

respect to each for doing their own, but didnt dig his style at all. Bissmire whipes the ****in floor with him...

in saying that, hes great at what he does, but can the 'wik wika wik wik waaah' be left for the hip hoppers ?

Woooaah, now, hold your horses... maybe I should have stuck an emoticon after that last post, I really was just taking the piss... Hardly justification of sending me PM's like this:

whta the **** is your problem ? got a stake in Jacksatr ?

grow up & learn to accept others opinions
Who's getting irate here, who should grow up? I can't be bothered with getting into a stupid message bored (sic) argument with someone who has obviously an axe to grind, I was simply trying to point out, we wern't talking about the guy's djing, I posted about a record, plus I don't like this "My dad's bigger than your dad" crap.. Jamie Bissmire most probably is a good Dj, I havn't heard him play, all I know of him is that he's a nice guy, but I think this kind of comparison is pointless..

And above all else, I get pretty tired of comments on message boards who post some negative opinion or another who couldn't amount to half of what the person they are dissing has already achieved in their career.. If I'm wrong, prove it... I'm not saying we should all sit around kissing butt, but, perpetual, if you feel so strongly, to the point where you have to send me PM such as the one above, why not put that energy into something more constructive, such as writing some music that you think IS really kicking...
Unfortunately, you've just provided an afternoons humour and entertainment for everyone who is bored at work.....

quoting pms for all to see is a bit suspect crime. THATS why it was a pm. it was intended for YOU only..

but since u see fit to tell all, i'll say just this....
