Melbourne or Sydney?

For any of you guys who know oz, which is better for music: Techno, also breaks - tech house, coz I like them too.

Melbourne would most likely have more going on in the techno field.... but our parties are better up here in Sydney ;) More intimate.. everyone's there for the moosac... blah blah blah.... heehee :roll:

But breaks, Sydney is king (doh)... tech house, probably more in melbourne again but still a fair amount up here...



If anyone's coming out here to Oz let me know

Melbourne for sure.

I run a free monthly party at a venue called Deep 11, and a weekly tek/house/electro night on a Wednesday at a club Called the Lounge.

There's heaps more than just my stuff though, heaps. Best bet would be to check out both if you can, I'm sure SYdney has alot to offer.

i was in sydney on hol an i couldnt find 1 single shop that sold any techno,it was all house an breaks :cry:

I went to a hard techno party with an austrialian girl from Sidney and she just said they just don't play it like us over there. sample of 1, ain't the truth though.

It has been a few years since I have been there but I found Melbourne to be a better all around place with the most consistent amount of techno going on. But Sydney is home to Swarm parties which rank up there with one of the best techno promotions I have encountered on the planet.

But times may have changed. There is likely fun to be had everywhere if you meet the right people.

im here in New Zealand blasting the techno but i need to get to aussie. im all alone here:( playing at Harddance parties etc i have a tech nite myself that runs every two weeks also,,,
but yea i need/want to get to aussie.
