Ya,, honestly I feel like there are no good drum machine vst's. There are sampler versions but they are as only as good as the samples you have.... and they have less control at the sound creation level than a real drum machines. Check out Drummatic 2.2 its not bad.. but a little thin. Other than that I know nothing that comes close to replacing a 909 other than a wicked bunch of samples.

The first company that makes a vst drum machine that spits out thick drum sounds rather than thin metallic ones is going to rule the world.

Waldorf Attack is pretty good for analog drum sysnthesis.
    Solitary by nature.
    Isolation is the gift.
Does anyone have courage to stand apart any more?

The Sonic Charge is wicked. But what would make it even better would be to be able to offset the pattern sequencer for each drum part so you could slightly delay or precede each beat.

I would b happy with a convincing recreation of the 909 shuffle has it is very organic and a little quirky... that's why it's so luvly! :)

individual delay would b cool b still a little static compared 2 tha 909!
