    samplers are so cheap and readily available right now, why build one?

    as for the 909 clone, my mate statik built one and the sound is identical. very nice bit of kit. it lacks the xox sequencing which is a big part of the 909 feel.

    Oooooooh. :D

    I have some friends here in town that have been talking about the Niche Automation Station controller... I have one, and have loaned it to them for experimentation...

    Seeing as Niche no longer exists, they're trying to get teh source for the firmware for the Automation Station - it's a socketed PROM, and in our opinion there's a *LOT* more the software could be doing... 16 sliders, 16 LED's, 16 buttons, and four rotary encoders (albiet stepped, yuck)...
