Yamaha or mackie????

What do you lot think of the new yamaha OX1 compared to the mackie control?????

which one would you get? I know the yamaha aint been out long but anyone used one yet????

i don't know about the yamaha but the new behringers look mighty good value at 140 to 180 quid

Yamaha 01x will sure revolutionize the way u work 4 sure...!!

mackie control is just a control... the yammy is a soundcard, a daw controller, an digiMixer, efex/ dynamics on each channel...!?!?


The behringer... welll... errr... it's a behringer... although it might b a resonable good controler (for the price range)...

ah! I didn't know what the yamaha was, it sounds well tasty.

The behringer will be fine. There`s not a lot in there that can go wrong.
some behringer is ok, as long as you aren`t planning on carting it about or using it for a live PA etc.

Humm' not much can go wrong with a controller (exept built quality) but if u r thinking of the soundcard side of things then it's a all different nightmare lol!

that's the big difference i suppose, the yammy is fully integrated,

but what if it's converters sound kak?

if those are good then cool, but a lot of people didn't like the sound of the old 01,
it's all subjective though, you'd have to try one out.

it does look good value, though way out of my price range :roll:

If u just need a controller for synth tweaks then go with something like the evolution .. but if u want a really good soundcard, small digital mixer with efx and dynamics go for the 01x....

They r preatty much in totally different price ranges!!

There is a preaty extensive review and info on the 01x on the forum... (we try 2 keep one step ahead eheheh :P) just look around!

As for the all digi versus analog it's a dryed out debate man...

U need a soundcard, it's gotta 2 have converters, the yamaha are as good as the best, sure u might find some more powerfull things but it will b twice the price and that's just for the top notch conversion... so geting back 2 earth I would say they're fine & dandy.... I wish most of us could afford something at least as good as the yammys! ;)
