I was dragged to the dance academy on saturday because of my mates birthday, i was expecting it to be a crappy night anyway because it was judge jules.
But it wasnt just crappy it was totally shit, as soon as i walked in he was playing 'Its time to Burn' and i thought here we go. But it wasnt just the old over played tunes that were getting to me, i think the guy was pissed or something because he knocked the needle across the record twice and he had the eqs wrong the whole time he was playing.
What does everyone else think of mister jules?

It's just a total joke mate.
There's no excuse for bad EQing at his level! And for knocking the needle - He should never be allowed to play out again if he is doing that. I could get my sister to do a 10 hour set and i bet not once she would make the needle skip, but he is doing it at an actual club with hundreds of clubbers listening to him!! what a waster!!

What aggrovates me is that there are thousands of up-coming DJ's with real talent but can't get or go nowhere in what they love doing! Someone, where given the chance @ a club, would try their heart out and do a full-on beast of a set. With quality mixes and structuring of a set.
And then arrives Mr Jules hammering Old commercial tunes, with shite mixing, shite EQing, and then to top the shite night out, he makes the needle skip twice!!!!

Just isn't fair is it??

In fairness to Judge Jules, the mainroom vestax mixer in DA sometimes is setup ****ing wierd... like gains and eq's on max so it doesn't give you much room to play with if the record your bringing in is much louder press than the one playing and vice versa.

I don't think it's right to slam him as crap, because he didn't get to where he is by being shit and there's too many people that like him to say he's shit. I just see him as a DJ that is not underground... and I don't particularly like listening to non-underground DJ's... not prejudice... just preference.
