Sequence is coming. It's going throughout your imagination. It takes you where you've been before. A higher state of mind. Yeah, you remember the early times. Now were trying to take you again. In the deepest seas of your consciousness.....Time never stops

    psydrop.... wicked recommendation!

theres so much decent and average psy taht the scene is flooded - now that the hard dance sound is returning to more NRG driven sounds imo - many trancers are having to look elsewhere.. only the psy scene is about "free" style like london techno etc..

so please dont rape it of what its worth, next thing it will be "new" and whats "hot" in mixmag!!! fuk me they've ignored it for the last 10 plus years.. by all means enjoy - but ministry.. keep ya mitts off! lol :dontevengothere:

technoraver - you mean the hard trance scene?

for me i know the feeling of what you love stopping! i used to be so into "london acid trance" not the german stuff, stuff like vcr, vcf, pendragon, but the man that held that scene together pi*sed off and left a whole.

so whats up with the trance scene - what type of trance we talking? Im glad i did not offened you with my comments. We all like decent stuff - not pop eh?! :dontevengothere:

    nah no offence.

yeh I mean the popularity of hard trance did soar a while back, its calmed down now abit. Alot of labels like tidy and nukleuz thought they were releasing hard trance, but they were just making watered down shite. not having a clue what there doing like.

    but yeh f**k pop mate

Shpongle is Simon Posford (Hallucinogen) with Raja Ram (head of TIP World) on the flute, and Simon's girlfriend Michelle does many of the vocals. both of their released albums are amazing, and a third is slowly coming. purists like the first album, but i think tracks from the second like "Around the World.." are as good as they get. this act is part of the "psychedelic downtempo" or "psy-ambient" scene. check out the latest albums from Shulman and Entheogenic if you want more headtrip material.

i personally have mixed feelings about psy. the good stuff is damn good, but most of it is very similar and generic. the saving grace is that there's SO much being released, and there are also many sub-genres that have some real gems.

some faves for dancey stuff are Infected (check BP Empire, the best IMO), Hallucinogen, Orion, Hujaboy, Wizzy Noise (the new one Stereo Electric rocks), Shift (mad as ****), Psy-Sex, Prometheus, Deedrah/Synthetic, Cydonia, Fractal Glider, and Eraser vs. Yojalka.

there's also a whole progressive side to psy that blurs the lines a bit between psy and more mainstream progressive. some albums to get are Son Kite - Colors, Freq - Strange Attractors, Shaman - Foretaste, stuff by Beat Bizarre, Ticon - Aero, Etnoscope - Drums From the Dawn of Time, and Synthetic - 100% Pure. i'm currently playing this stuff, and people from many backgrounds seem to love it. great while coming down from something more intense, and top production. i also include LSG - The Hive in this style, and that album is a GREAT listen.

oh, and the music in general has become more regular in structure, so i imagine it would be an easy transition for people used to spinning UK HT and techno.

just PM me if you want any more info.

    cheers
