Default there has GOT TO BE A BETTER WAY!

am i the only one that pulls my hair out when i try to make simple drum sequences in Cubase SX? The Drum Map editor is pretty confusing, and i cant seem to accept the fact that i have to manually draw in notes, or i have to record live through midi, then stop, then open another few windows to quantitise, then change velocity, then copy and paste the events to another bar.

Am i the only one that is doing this? The impression that im beginning to get after reading the manual is that this is the only way. Cubase really needs to design a drum vsti or sampler that can automate pattern shuffles within the module itself. Or maybe there is a better way and i just have not discovered it yet!

Im currently using Kontakt to trigger the drum samples at the moment.

THERES GOT TO BE A BETTER WAY!
