You got to appreciate the way you can use a techno tune to split up a hard trance set, use it as a tool aswell as a tune to put on...

Right see it like this, I play 20 mins of some nice melodic hard trance to start yeah, keep the crowd on there feet, loving there melodies...I drop a nice techno tune in there, not too hard, not too light, just a nice roller, probably a Pat Skoog or something, then out of the blue, quick mix into a FAT bassline...what are the crowd gonna do?

All those who didnt like the techno are gonna come back because you just dropped a Hard Trance beast, all those who appreciate the techno are gonna be happy cos you got a bit of it in there, and all those who stayed are gonna start going for it more because it just got better.

    Reasons to play techno:
    1. Breaks up your set
    2. Allows you to put pretty much any tune out of it....
    3. Pleases those who appreciate more than one style of music
    4. Shows to other promoters that you aint just playing the same old hard trance as every other ****er out there...

There are loads more reasons...but thats why I use techno in my sets.

P.S. All the above is based on my own opinion from a Hard Trance DJ breaking his set up... ;)

Of course I like it mate, I go out of my way to find stuff I like so I can play it....

    Plus I've always liked techno....

Also it keeps the whole DJ'ing career that bit more interesting being involved in two different styles of music...beleive! ;)

    You said it mate.

So put yourself above the rest, don't sit back and be one of them.

Do what you have to, to become a better DJ.

I found my way, what's yours?

Yeah that's fair play mate, but all this I've talked about is my way of being unique, being DJ Corbzy, not 'Oh he was quite like Mark EG tonite'....he was quite DJ Corbzy!!!
