Default More crappy new gezzer questions....

What are the best hard nights in scotland??
Does Mark EG ever visit scotland???
Is he doing a new cd?? Where can I find old compilations and lives???

I have 1 cd of his, its unofficial i think, it has a green cover and it says its been recorded live. Bought it up in Aberdeen along with a shokk one and a hard trance vol. 7 cd (all with this greeny cover).
Anybody got these wierd cds or have any clue as to where they come from??? I've only ever seen them in this one record shop!!!

    Thanks

    Ciao

Welcome to the board Rocco. There are quite a few members on here who live in Scotland that i'm sure will be able to help you with where to find the hardest club nights.

The CD you have unfortunately isn't Mark EG at all, it's some guy impersonating him to make a bit of money. These bootleg CDs are widely available throughout the country, and you're certainly not the only one who's been duped.

Spread word to all your friends about them, hopefully in the future if everyone stops buying them the people that make them will be forced to stop.

Alright guys, I'm originally from Dunfermline but now live and work in Glasgow.

How do you know that the cd i have is a fake??? Whatever it is its totally banging, must be one of my fave cds. If it aint him who is it and does Mark EG play too differently to this???

Am thinking about organising a night in Glasgow within the next couple of months with a mate. We'll probably hire out a club and charge a small entrance fee.
It'll be mainly hard stuff (italian style) but with plenty of electro and techno chucked in.
Off course I'll keep you posted on events. Niether of us are exceptional DJs but we feel our music will send people bonkers and there is a real lack of banging music in glasgow.

If you could answer these questions I'd appreciate it,

    Ciao

not sure what there is in glasgow at the mo hardstyle wise but look out for pulse & exposure @ the big joint (glasgow).

the cd's are made by some one who also does mzone cd's and various other dj cd's.

Marks sets do differ from the cd's for the better i hastened to add.

If you are willing to travel the worlds your oyster mate!! 3 hrs up the road you will get addiction in forres which is hard as **** (99% of the time)
RATT @ Bathgate have some superb nights on offer this weeknd onwards!

if you are starting a night good luck mate!! I know glasgow can be a weird place clubbing wise!!

By the way, I think those CD's may actually be who they say they are just recorded without there permission or knowledge.

Nah, we've had this discussion before - the M Zone ones are the biggest give away because there's usually around 12 tracks on there, if you buy a real M Zone CD from GT there's more like 120 tracks!

The only ones that are real are the ones that are just copies of an official CD or a recording of an Essential mix etc. Mark himself has heard these CDs now and confirmed that they are not him. I remember buying one a few years ago, and alarm bells rang when the CD contained a tune that Mark had said in a review he would never play!

Rocco, if you think these CDs are good, wait till you actually hear Mark play! These CDs have poor mixing. Have you heard the mix actually on the site here?

To tell you the truth I'm not really bothered about how good a DJ is technically, I'm more interested in the quality of music.
Not heard the mix on this site. I'll have a look for it tho,

    Hey man,

Does Mark EG ever visit scotland???

Well it happens once in a blue moon but I try to get up there as much as I can. The last time was a night I did for Jay M in the Ice Factory - LOVED IT!

Is he doing a new cd?? Where can I find old compilations and lives???

Well I'm really, really bad at doing CD's. They take me about 1 week to do you see - I really want to get them right. The last hard trance one I did is the link about but it's 2 yrs old now. Chrissi is banging on and on at me to do one and I'll get round to it soon. I want to start doing monthly mixes up on this site too, but hey, it'll take time. Hope you dont mind.
