Opinion on Hardcore?

I was replying to a post on another site and it got me thinking, what do the Blackout Audio forum crew think of hardcore? I know there are a few people from the scene on here.
I'm just wandering if anybody has came over to hardtrance not through the hardcore scene, if so what is your opinion of it?

I personally do like some of it. That's SOME though! There's a lot of remixes of old classics to a more modern sort of speedy-trance version. I like a lot of what Dj Demand plays. That's boarderlining cases... one track I do care about a lot although it's pretty cheesy is Scott Brown - Elysium. Really deep and uplifting tune...

Some of the newer hardcore stuff has some pretty class sounding beats, which is odd as Happy Hardcore was never about that.

I like some kinds of hardcore, although i never buy any on vinyl. I listen to a lot of the tapes, like dolphin, producer etc.
I think the best hardcore dj has to be scorpio, hes rockin

YEA HARDCORE TECHNO IS QUALITY!!! FAVS WOULD HAVE TO BE DROKZ, MIKE TT, TIEUM, HMS N LOFTGROOVER, SASS, ALSO BREAKCORE WHICH EVOLVING AT THE MOMENT!!! STUFF LIKE DOORMOUSE!! SAW HIM AT SPECIES IN DECEMBER AND WOZ UNBELIEVABLE!!!

I grew up on Happy Hardcore. But nowadays i listen to it hardly ever...It's changed alot! i still put on the odd Sy tape from 1996 but thats about it. I only like the classic H.Hardcore.

that would be wicked,as long as Marc Smith and Sharkey were the hardcore djs

yeah tho man, Doormouse rokd at Species. Basecks one of my fav DJs of all time after seein him live that night. The most inspiring DJ set since hmmmmm....Dolphin at Steam 2.

Chazbloke has just done a Banging Hardstyle set bodering onto Gabba, in the Hard Trance Rave Filez section. This sound is probably the hardest i will go, tunes are quality on it!! This sound is perfect, but other forms of Gabba i feel are somewhat cheesey and not 'catchy' enough. So i overlook it. Hardstyle at the moment is just perfect!!

Ye iv been doin that alot recently, did it in North Wales on saturday. It rokd. Most 'gabber' is cheesey in a Scott Brown sense, hardcore is a totaly different thing tho. As in the style myself, Producer etc play.

Doormouse and Baseck on the other hand are more broken beat/noise jox which sumtimes dabble in hardcore.

This could go so much more anal but il leave it...lol

I like industrial hardcore & speedcore, but i hate gabber & happy hardcore, there are some excellent dj`s around at the moment, the teknoist is a quality dj as is dolphin, producer, simon underground & traffik, and the quality of productions are higher than they ever have been imo.

ye man the production is awesome of l8...spesh British stuff...Producers stuff is exceptional not to mention his techno releases...keep an eye out 4 'theme from snow hill' by him...unreal!!!

Hardcore techno etc has got a damn site more serious of late which is an amazingly good thing....this years gonna rok musically wise not just hardcore wise i reckon *touch wood*

Played hardtrance 4 aslong as iv played hardcore m8 and ye il def have em iv just been mad busy of late, but dont keep em 4 me if u get any other offers. Il pick em up next time im down Tugz in the car.:)
