Yeah, I'll agree with you on Surrounder - Control Me and Club Experience.

Tough call Mark...I respect your views and you know that man, At no point I was saying that your opinion wasn't valid and you had to settle for mine, I was clearly stating that I was annoyed with the slating of new hard trance tunes because they don't live up to the expectations of many people, at the end of the day, you like what you like, and you don't what you don't, but I backed up my opinions with what I beleive.

Forums are for stating how you feel and expressing your feelings, I admit I slate a lot of people for not agreeing with me but that's just me.

At the end of the day, we are the ones who can go out there and make the future music and mix the future tunes, so if you truly feel the way you do, go out and do something about it.
Fair play Corbz... I like the reply, respect man.

Its not that hard trance isn't good... cause its great... its the TYPE of hard trance. I'm so very old german style sound sort of person, and other forms of trance I love, but not as much as that sound. I can't let go that german sound cause to me, its too important and too good. It's opened up my mind to so many posibilites of sound and melody that I always want to hear more. When I hear different sort of trance I love it, but not as much as liked the other.

    Crazy I am...

Not really, I gag for the old style of darkness & light. The evil, twisted, fu*ked up sounds of a track before breaking into the most awesome trance. You ain't crazy Hakka...Your like me, nostalgic! ;)

this is my biggest hurdel as a producer... when i write trance/hard trance i feel caged... by the boundaries that have been set before i`ve even started... hence i havent release anything for a long time... anyone who has heard any of my experiments off cd would know that there alwyas "weird"...cuz i dont wanna make the same old shit that everyones churning out- im not saying that its shit, im saying that is the same old..fair enough riffs are different ,basslines change, and arrangements differ but at the core its nothing new... i think yeah thats a fat tune but it sounds like everything else...

its not as bleak as this really because as i said in that other thread its natural... someone comes along and changes perceptions about a scene... then that revalation ventually becomes the norm because people use it as a new hall mark for there own stuff then something comes along and does it again its a cycle and were at a bit before a burst... i hope... anyway as corbz said lets MAKE things happen for a scene and the music welove!! Peace ;)

Interesting to read all your points coz they're all very valid opinions. Imo it is true that hard trance is in need of something new but I still like some of the current stuff coz it doesnt necessarily have to be ground breaking to be class

Also I dont think that progression in a genre is something that can be forced. I think wen the time is right it'll evolve naturally as it always does. For now though I cant complain as theres loads of tunes comin out that i like especially from the likes of FSC & Gas. Although gas has been a bit thin in the last month or 2

Sequence is coming. It's going throughout your imagination. It takes you where you've been before. A higher state of mind. Yeah, you remember the early times. Now were trying to take you again. In the deepest seas of your consciousness.....Time never stops

gas are very wicked mate... i think we can expect big things from them this year... although i heard there pushing an electro sound to so many thats why there hasnt been such a rush of releases like last year... i just hope there trance doesnt suffer becuase of a shift in weight to electro... gas uk should be nice!!
