Default Two important questions for the forum

    Internet piracy .....
Many of us, if not all of us use the internet..
I dont know how i feel about this subject on the matter of downloading tracks, for the use of playing them out at clubs..
I mean in away its pretty S**t to think you can have a classic choon from lets say 1996-1997, "baby" for example, on vinyl and someone can easily access the same track, play it out at better quality, and still have get the credibilty for having the track..

DOES THIS MEAN THAT EVERYTHING CREDIBLE ABOUT THE VERSION YOU HAVE ON VINYL GOES OUT OF THE WINDOW .......?

Its a mad topic, i was just wondering whether at the end of the day the internet is a beneficiary to our underground movement, or will technology get the better of us, and vinyl slowly disappear.. Its a long way from happening but could it be a scenario waiting to happen.

Take Darkstars mix, in the Filez section (soz to use u as an example) absolutely blinding mix, quality tunes, but was'nt done with vinyl.. Hmm!

    Two questions for the forum..

    1. Does the internet benefit our movement i.e. Downloads/online buying
    2. What is the future for vinyl, if music is more accesible and cheaper on the net, in the long term affects..

    Your thoughts please

bah - used to be a MP3 junkie! managed to kick the habit a few years ago - now i've hit the films and xbox games!
have you seen "Final Scratch" ... http://www.finalscratch.com/ ... products like this will make downloading more common when it becomes more affordable.. heck if you spend £50-100 a month on vinly, 4-8 months you would have ya money back!

    Default mp3's

ive got loads of tunes in mp3 format, i would play them out if i ever get round to buyin a cdj.

in some ways its wrong because some of the small techno labels could go under if everybody did that but most of the tunes i buy on vinyl anyway.

its good for the hard to find classics :)
techno....no sound like this sound.....still a incomprehensible magical force the precision of the rhythms the repetition of the machine groove the basic tribalism of the beat.......there is no sound like this sound!
