    Default Newbie question about pressing

I'm kinda wondering what the deal is with pressing - beyond fresh heavy weight vinyl what else makes the sound good or bad. I heard coloured vinyl wears quicker - could be bollocks - and I have some Fresh Grind with printing on the track surface that doesn't seem to make a difference.

any of the basics would be cool :)

    number one priority:
    - the lacquer must be great.

then the pressingplant is responsible to press the vinyl as good as possible.
    OUT NOW:
    - Orlando Voorn & Juan Atkins "Game One (Ritzi Lee remix)" on Nightvision.
    - Cybernetics EP on Labrynth (Beatport release)

    OUT SOON:
    - Black Noiz on Labrynth (vinyl release)

There's a million different rules and tips/tricks for the mixdown in your studio to sound better on vinyl. I guess the most important thing at the end of the day is having a good masterer. Mastering can make or break a track.
