You could hear 2 different dj's play wot they both called 'hardstyle' but still hear 2 completely different sets

Im finding that all the good hardstyle at the moment is actually hard trance, with a hardstyle influence and is being categorized as hardstyle.

    My opinion anyway.

OK, flair play. But in my opinion the more Gabba/Industrial influenced Hardstyle sounds alot classier and well more produced.
Big difference to the majority of the cheesy stuff.

Just my opinion though, and i also agree with you Yoshi about 2 different DJ's playoing Hardstyle but sounding different. Just comes down to individual taste really.

the problem within the dutch hardstyle scene atm is that they are pumping up the tempo considerably so it almost seems hardcore..

the in qontrol party was a terrible example of that.

mind: i do not hate hardcore, fact is : i like it.
but hardstyle and hardcore should not melt together to the same style.. alltough producers tend to try this lately.

i wouldn't mind hardstyle going back a 5 BPM's in speed atm since the difference with the 2000/2001 tunes is unbelievable.
they went from 134/135 to 148/150 sommot..

plus producers should use more innovative sounds. i'm currently experimenting with more new types of basslines. now i just need to fix my records to be published

people who like bangin hardcore and not cheesey hardcore wud like the fact that hardstyle and some types of hardtrance is speeded up,av heared a phew tunes played by certain dj's at hardcore speed i.e Dj the crow meets Dj arne The Speed which is bangin at hardcore speed i actually prefer it like that.at the end of the day its worth mixing with hardcore or sets wud get boring as like gabba with hardstyle

When I play out im playing alot of old hardstyle and new hard techno now, im guttted to think hardstyle is on its way out but with all these tunes coming out that are crap at the moment its getting such a bad reputation. Big labels such as dance pollution and blutonium are even average now. I think its over for this genre, what do the BOA lads and lasses think. and as for suntec!! whats that all about!!
