    Default Dutch Intervention?

Hmm... a friend of mine has been lending me some promo's and there's some ****ing hard stuff comming out on the dutch labels... could this be where hard style is going? The dutch have been playing slowed down gabba death stuff for ages through Bass D & King Matthews, Lada Dana and Neophyte etc... I wonder what 2003 has in store for us?

just the way i like it...
but beware the housey tunes! they may sound all evil and hard 'cos of the b-line and distorted kicks etc, but the break downs are just pure cheese, using whooping horns and screeches that play off each other and use old samples off commercial club hits.
when i was at HardBass, there were some real questionable tunes played, imho - but seeing as that was their commercial scene (i.e. ministry/cream etc..) they got away with it.
don't let these creep into your record box...

I totally agree, bein someone who plays quite a considerable amount of hardstyle....i have noticed there are various dutch labels relesing some good quality hardstyle....labels such as Seismic, IDT Hardstyle and Impetuios, all releasing well dark stuff....but yet i dont reckon it will take it away from the germans and the italians as they will always produce the best hard trance. :D

I agree with both Chaz and Corbzy. As Chaz said there is defintley some quality stuff coming out on Dutch Labels, with Huge Basslines and Phat Distorted Kicks, but i noticed the Cheesey breakdowns, really Hard House influenced!! As all of them are using the same-styled Basslines, you've got to pick out the quality from the cheese.

But i only think its a different angle to the whole scene, a different option.
This sound to be dropped nicely at Peak Time Hard Trance sets.
or at the end of a Hard Trance/Hardstyle set. Its gives you the chance to work your set, progress up to the Pounding Dutch Labels......tease the crowd.

the seismic stuff is neophyte under a different name... there is some gabber that is slow enuff and 'tuney' enuff to play as hardstyle as it is too.
