yea! bring it back to the speed of the old EDM & Tunnel stuff! much better to stomp at.
the thing is, the big bass lines on tunes at the moment sound the tits at +13 to +18 , they turn smoother and become more driving then at say +3 to +8.
i find it easier to mix at a higher speed as well - i like to chop the mix about and have found that when playing slower , it dont work quite as good
    more speed please!

Faster trance may be good idea but some tracks may not work with... I love mixing with fast speeds... anyone else played with putting tracks which are 33 up to 45 on the decks? then put it on -8 and mix like the roadrunner himself.

    Default trance

i think the trance these days sounds right at the speed its played, the older stuff was wikkid but them days are gone as they say.

    look forward never back..........:)

i still love the old stuff though
techno....no sound like this sound.....still a incomprehensible magical force the precision of the rhythms the repetition of the machine groove the basic tribalism of the beat.......there is no sound like this sound!

    Default faster

I think that it should defo be turned up a few notches. If todays stuff was produced at say about 145 -150bpm it would be perfect.

The thing is though it has to sound fast, i love the old stuff because the tune sounds as though its gonna jump out of its very structure if you get me, kind of like the riff is dragging the kick along by its balls. Were as the uk trancecore stuff always sounds to comfortable an plods along at the speed its at.
The way the whole tracks were put together seem to have been overlooked by the trancecore/freeform artists an it is an effort to keep motivated on the dancefloor at that speed with them. they do occasionally get it right though.

I like the speed now. You can always pitch it up anyway.

I think the slower stuff finds it easier to be dark (during production) but I really like playing faster sets.

some tunes tune sound good speeded up but most of them lose there power !!!

ive been plenty of raves when mr cheese (hixxy) plays hard trance on 45!!!

it loses all power and sounds pretty lame (just my opinion anyway)

but i was pishing about on my decks at home with warp bros -phatt bass (aquagen mix) and put that on 45 -8pitch and it sounds amazing!!!

just depends on the tune really!!!

but yeh the old 95-98 hard trance was the best and probally will be forever.

plastic angel, gollum etc etc all wikkid producers in them days!!
