I'm not saying this to have a fight - I honestly wanna know.
What is the difference between hard-syle, hard-trance and hard-dance? My mate things it all down to the breakdowns and basslines?
Ignore me if yer want :?:

Hard Trance - Mainly influenced by a 'german' sound, can be a mixture of hard basslines right through to UK basslines which usually sport a rhythm. Most Hard Trance will have a trancey riff to follow after a break.
Hardstyle - Mainly influenced by an Italian/Dutch sound, everything is real sharp and hard sounding, you'll find most hardstyle will have a gated offbeat bassline and can go as far as sounding like Hardcore which is what the Dutch call some Hardstyle.
Hard Dance - Is the new defintion of Hard House, because a lot of people who play hard house are mixing a lot of techno aswell, so have redefined there style to 'Hard Dance'. Hard Dance is definetely a UK thing.
I could tell you loads of differences if you wanna know any more ask mate.
