i recently had a few viruses, got rid of them but i think maybe ive deleted a few files or something that i need, because now i am unable to install new software

it appears that you may have deleted the program that was effecting your computer but have you checked threw editors like "Regedit" and msconfig to see if its in your run or bootup sequences? Windows is definity trying to use this file still as a crutch. Do some searching, and always backup something before you delete.
