    Default How is hardstyle created?

Obviously there are many components to hardstyle such as the distinct synth bass and drums, but can this only be done on a software program or are there synthesizers that can do this as well? I've tried to use Fruity Loops before never really got the hang of it, but am thinking Reason will be great for creating a drum loop.
-Also, how do some DJs mix a song where they can take a vocal from a different song and transform the words by echoing them and changing the pitch and frequency into a completely different melody. I would say DJ Isaac - Thriller Remix would be something like that, but I'm also thinking of Zero Vision - Overdrive as a better example of what I'm talking about. anybody would know, I would be forever grateful!

hardstyle is made by turning off any source of intelligence in your brain and sitting down in front of some pots and pans and recording beating your head against the aformentioned kitchen utensils.

I'm leaving this post here on the strength that the next person with the same question, will look for hardstyle answers in the hardstyle forum maybe? I could be wrong but, there is a hardstyle forum here no?

i suppose i'd be called an electronic purist, but what the fudge are all these new stick on names for genres. am i massivly missing out on something, or has the phrase 'blissfully unaware' never been so appropriate.
any thing that sticks techno to some other form of 4/4 retrograde nonsense is a bit worrying. i dont care what names you make up to label it with.
sound so cynical, dont mean to be, but i find it worrying.
I dont know. You give people freedom and what do the do with it?

A new genre seems to pop up every 2 mins.....its crazy. I think it comes about when folk have a bit of a diagreement about what style a track is. Next thing u know, hey presto, a new genre
