    ChordME

ChordME is a midi VST that converts incoming midi notes into full chords.

Different chords can be assigned to each note across the octave so that complex chord patterns can quickly be built up from simple midi lines.

It can also transpose the generated chords or the original midi notes up or down octaves.

Swamp Synthesizer Free 2 voice Version

Significant and prevailing sounds: metallic leads, arpeggios and very strange pads

This synthesizer features 'Timbre-modulation' being achieved by processing each oscillator's waveform in a very unique way. The result is frequencies are moved to more mid and high ranges - enriching the sound even with harmonics and at certain settings adds a metallic character usually expected by a ringmodulator - but there is no ringmodulator used.
Each oscillator has actually two audio-outputs: one normal and one Timbre-modulated both being routed by mix-sliders to filter or direct out of VCA. So the most interesting part of a sound is already created in using the mix and modulation section of each oscillator. In addition to that the filter section adds what You expect from a synthesizer.

STS-21 - eXTended Space Transition Synthesizer
for Pads, Textures, Soundscapes & Athmospherics

    *2 Voice Free Version*

This completely reworked version of the STS is featuring the eXTended Wave-Transition method plus X-Torsion for absolute unique atmospheres, soundscapes, pads & textures. A very straight userinterface with 3 "Lazy"-Buttons for randomizing different sets of parameters so programming this synthesizer is incredibly easy. Although this is an amazingly "simple" structured synthesizer it gains its astounding sound from the Transition method for stunning new dimension and motion in evolving sounds changing completely it's characteristics.

    The basic features are:

Four digital PCM-wave oscillators powered by 120 (Pro) / 78 (free) selectable waveforms
    X-Torsion function for oscillators
    two "Transit(ion)"-modes
two resonant filters (24db Lowpass and 12 db Highpass)
    three ADSR-style envelope generators
    two LFO (bpm-synced)
one LFO with shapeable and even patternlike waveforms (bpm-synced)
    one Sample & Hold (bpm-synced)
one LFO (bpm-synced) for alternate Transition mode
combined LFO as mod-sources for filters
    Stereo delay
    Stereo Reverb

A two voice free version is supplied with 256 patches (1 internal and 1 external bank) - just a selection from the whole sets. If you check some patches(also in 2nd patchbank) made by talented Annabelle (ANN) you'll notice the STS is also capable for cutting leads and interesting gated stuff. Note the Pro version has differing internal and external banks as there are more waves inside.
    Presets were done by:
Vera Kinter (VK), Annabelle (ANN), Dimitri Schkoda (DS or no sign), Aron Elvar (AE), Phil Garrison (PG) and HGF.

    yeah, do that...

bit heavy on the cpu and a little ugly but the presets alone are pretty techno, if you know what i mean. prolly because it was made by a techno guy...

Evil FX action - this one is really really fantastic:

    DtBlkFx

DtBlkFx (by Darrell Barrell) is a Fast-Fourier-Transform (FFT) based Virtual Sound Technology (VST) plug-in for use in audio software supporting such stuff.

It combines elements of distortion, filtering and synthesis in order to make you smile. ;)

It has an easy to use interface and lets you do all kinds of things - examples are:

    Brick-wall (sharp roll off) filtering
    Harmonic based filtering
    Various types of noise control
    Frequency shifting
    Something similar to vocoding
    Many unique effects

+ some royalty free loops mangled with this as well:

Devine Machine are pleased to announce that Minion, a free VST effect plug-in for both PC and Mac OS X, is now available.

When you just have to have four filters being modulated by a total of twelve LFOs, you need Minion!

It's got balls, you see. Four of them, pinging and swinging their way around an innovative XYZ pad that's used to control the plug-in and to give visual feedback. And for each ball, there's an effect module, and each of those can produce one of a variety of filter effects, including several filter/distortion combinations. Minion also comes with numerous presets that demonstrate the range of audio warping possible. And did we mention that it's free? (Yes, yes we did.)
