Yeah it's a huge difference, probably not even worth it to be honest.

also i believe that it affects the sound quality as well, i think the same applies to coloured vinyls as well... although im not 100% on this

i cant count the number of records ive had that have either been coloured or picture discs that sound ****ing woeful in terms of sound quality. It's a sad day when people are compromising on sound quality to have a pretty looking record

I'll take a top track with no artwork over a nicely packaged but mediocre track any day of the week. Packaging dont mean diddlysquat to me but I know what you're saying.

yeah but u know what i mean mate

i personally have run into alot of trouble with non-regular coloured vinyls shall we say to save the pedants then? Particulary dull colours like grey, i have this primate endangered thing that is just dreadful, and another grey record i picked up in some shop that is awful too

does anyone have any actual technical information on why this maybe so? My expertise only goes as far as making the tracks im afraid

All down to the quality of the vinyl to start with and the actual weight used...

also whether they've used recycled vinyl or fresh vinyl, or could be mastering production quality.... damn so many factors involved

sounds great to me. i bought it because i love the track... no, really, i do.

picture discs always feel a bit funny to me. perhaps they need to be pressed on heavier vinyl or something.
