Default Patrik Skoog - Outage EP - Global Trax #2

Any body own this double pack?

If yes, what's it like? And also, is the track on the A1 "Gates" the one that was released on Flux as well, or is that a remix?

I've got it. It's pretty good from what i can recall (sitting at work as i write this, so i'm going on memory here). Straight-up bangers all the way through. Nothing too amazing but just good solid techno. I do remember that my favorite track on there is "Fit" which has this great vocal sample that loops throughout--i believe it's saying "more." The track is pretty frantic--i love it. As for the Gates question, can't help you out with that.

Ok, well thanks for the info. I've bought it, so I guess I'll find out about the Gates track. It's Skoog, so I doubt I can go wrong with buying it really!

Mike Cerda would be the man to contact in regards to any questions about Global Traxx.

Good point. Mikey only owns the label... If you have contact with Skoog, that would be a better route.

Oops! Don't know what happened there? It's NOT the same version of Gates that was released on Flux. Got this through the post yesterday, it's a pretty good release. All the tracks are great, a lot harder than I can remember Skoog producing.

Glad you like it Si - it's gone to a better home! It's definitely one of his harder releases - reminds me of the early Headroom stuff on Compound (unsurprisingly) but I play that more than I play that double pack and so it went on sale.

Yea, cheers for that mate. I love it. I so wish Skoog produced hard techno still...

Do send me over the list of whats left for sale when you get the chance.

I will second that notion of wishing he was still on the dark side of the force.
I talk to him from time to time, but I think Scott would have better luck convinving him of coming back to the fold.

yeah, who know's, to be fair his more electronic stuff is still pretty club orientated at times but yeah its not the classic hard sound. I dont think Pat would never say never though, would be cool to see some new headroom stuff especially

I could imagine he still does stuff in that vein from time to time. Now whether you release it is a different matter.
