Workstation/Desk

I need to build/buy a desk or a workstation for my computer, speakers and machines

My flat is small - one room loft thingie and a massive wooden workstation thing is going to look enormous in my little flat. Was thinking of getting a table with a glass top.

Is that going to work? Will speakers do weird things to a big piece of glass - create weird vibrations etc? It would be thick heavy glass so I'm hoping no, but not sure if you need to be careful about what material you use....

I can pretty much tell someone to build me something, but there's no ikea equivalents out here and its feckin difficult to find something suitable for making music.

I'm in the same boat so I got this...



It is quite large... 5ft wide and comes out from the wall about 3ft but I got an angled desktop rack thing to squeeze more gear on ... so I've also got a 909 and a vermona DRM1 stuffed on it at the moment too.

I think I paid £230 for it from HTFR - Kam Studio desk
